His latest major cultural event called “The Circle” has been exhibited as a worldwide premiere at the Gallerie D’Italia Museum of Turin, Italy in partnership with the Ellen Mac Arthur Foundation.

Luca's work has been recognised and awarded various prizes, including: World Press Photo, 2018 and 2020; World Photography Organization, 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2022; Leica Oskar Barnack Award, 2020 Nannes Prize, 2017; American Photography Winners, 2018 among others.

Luca is a founding partner since 2004 of a non-governmental association that contributes to protect 600 thousand hectares of tropical forest in the Amazon forest.

Artist's Statement

For over a year, I immersed myself in the ever-changing beauty of Heller Garden, capturing its essence through the shifting seasons. This botanical wonder, where nature and art coexist in perfect harmony, became my canvas—a living, breathing space of transformation and discovery.

Through my lens, I sought to reveal the garden’s dynamic spirit: the delicate interplay of light and shadow on ancient ferns, the silent dialogue between sculptures and lush flora, and the quiet yet powerful evolution of this enchanted oasis. From the tender emergence of new growth in spring to the golden stillness of autumn, every moment in Heller Garden is a fleeting masterpiece, never the same twice.
